The limited “HODL Me Close” series is the premiere collaboration between model+artist Lily Whyte and Marquez Studios Photography. The concept commits to the classic elements of mid-century Pin-Up photography, from the simple set of draped fabric (a favorite backdrop for American Pin-Up and nude imagery in the 1940s), classical hair and makeup, to the barely-concealing wardrobe, and the cheeky act of using red lipstick to write on the body. Pin-Up concepts were often topical and humorous, and we’ve embraced that motivation by adorning the skin with the [“vintage”] crypto inside joke of HODL.
The collector will enjoy a lovely set of goodies along with this piece, including:
-Complimentary access to Lily Whyte’s Members Only space, which will include exclusive digital performances and events, audio and video episodic projects, and discounted/first access to future projects.
-BTS video of the shoot
-Audio from Lily Whyte and Amy Irene Marquez
-Bonus test shot and blooper photo (cameo by Lily’s cat!)
Thank you for your support and endorsement of female creators, and for your contribution to keeping the artform of Pin-Up very much alive and relevant!
